During the summer fishing is by far the most popular activity. The Turtle Flambeau Flowage is a haven for the avid fisherman. The fall colors make this area one of the most beautiful in the country. All the seasons bring out the beauty of this wilderness area.

Why a name like Deadhorse Lodge? During the logging days a team of horses fell through the ice. Therefore, the lake was named Deadhorse Lake.
